Look at this beauty!

Well I am sure by now you have noticed a pattern with my blog posts :) I figured I'd always write about my two favorite talents I possess which I'm sure you noticed are baking/cake decorating and creating foam decorations! I don't want to bore you guys so I'll post one of each every other week. For all my Game of Thrones fans out there this week I wanted to talk about how amazing (not trying to toot my own horn but.....) my Game of Thrones cake turned out! I worked incredibly hard on this one and it had a lot of detail and I created it on my own by using a little bit of each cake I searched online. I never actually create a sketch but I did for this one. It was a cake for my brother who is a huge fan. I actually hadn't even heard of Game of Thrones until he asked me to make him this cake (by the way, I am now HOOKED this show is amazing! If you haven't seen it yet please do, you will NOT regret it). I made the house symbols, letters, and braid with gum paste. Everything else is icing. It was a lemon cake which is my brother's favorite. The blood is actually lemon glaze icing simply died with A LOT of red food coloring, which was delicious might I add (so modest). The icing is swiss meringue buttercream with a delicious zest of lemon, lots of lemon for you lemon lovers! I loved making this cake it was a lot of fun so I thought you guys would enjoy looking at it as much as I do!
